Though our goal in doing this is to help encourage and educate youth about the wonderful world of iris, we certainly hope everyone who has time to spare will give these activities a try.

2016 Spring Region Meeting

On a hot hot day in June, 54 Region 6 iris lovers visited three gardens
in Ohio and saw lots of Spurias in bloom!

NEIIS Requesting Guest Plants for 2019 Spring Meeting

The Northeastern Indiana Iris Society will be hosting the 2019 Region 6 Spring Meeting and Garden tour. They are now accepting guest iris seedlings or recently named cultivars that would be blooming around Memorial Day weekend May 25 and May 26, 2019. There will be four gardens on the tour.
Please send at least 2-3 rhizomes of each variety with a limit of 10 varieties per hybridizer, bearded and non-bearded irises will be accepted August 22- September 8, 2016.
Please ship irises to: Lana Wolfe, 326 Sprague St. PO Box 155, Willshire, OH 45898
The name of the variety or seedling number should be clearly marked on each rhizome.
In addition the following information should accompany each variety on a separate packaging list:
Hybridizer's name and address
Name of seedling number or cultivar
Type of Iris
Height, color, distinguishing features, a photo is okay
Year of introduction if applicable
Please include an email address for an electronic receipt, if no email is provided a receipt will be sent by mail.

2017 Median Iris Mini-Convention

The Iris Growers of Eastern Indiana, Indiana Daylily and Iris Society, Region 6 and the Median Iris Society, Section of the American Iris Society, will host a Median Iris Mini-convention May 18-20, 2017.
Convention attendees will tour five gardens and a Purdue University Experimental Agriculture Farm. Hybridizers of median iris, including arilbred medians, are invited to send rhizomes of recent introductions and seedlings under consideration for introduction.
Please observe the following guidelines when sending guest irises as only officially submitted rhizomes will appear in the convention booklet.
Up to 3 rhizomes of each variety, with a limit of 20 varieties per hybridizer, will be accepted from July 15 to August 15, 2015. Please ship plants to:
